It's a question I get a lot of friends, 'have you sold many tee shirts yet?'. It's usually followed by a bit of a squirm by me, as I feel I haven't reached enough people yet in online searches to get my product seen out among the masses.<\/p>
Thankfully I've had some good support of friends who share my passions for certain pastimes and good causes, that my custom designed prints are usually related too, and thus share a purpose for buying one of my clothing items and raising money for a charity related to that cause.<\/p>
I've been lucky to have a few friends interested in subject matter that I have been able to make a design for or clothing items with that theme on i.e. Pilates, wild swimming, trail running etc. This helps a little with promotion once they start to wear them out and about with their friends. I'm hoping this will start to pick up sales soon.<\/p>
I do really enjoy the making money for charity aspect of my little online business here, and so far have done two donation rounds after gathering the money made as profit and finding suitable relevant charities online to donate to. I have the option to pick and choose which helps with cover more charities, which is a bonus.<\/p>
So have I sold many? Well not exactly loads, and I have stopped paying for Facebook or Instagram ads, as they don't really pay their way at present and are not bringing in sales, just website clicks. As I pay for all advertising myself, I'd rather just sent that money as a top up to the charities I am sending donations too.<\/p>
I just hope things pick up soon, people start to recommend my designs, and more request custom designs or subject matter for the designs to help raise more money for charity. <\/p>
I'm pretty sure I am one of the only people giving all the money to charity, and paying for advertising out of my own pocket, and dedicating so much time to designs. Let alone the fact I buy a lot of the product myself too, so that I can check out the quality of the final print design, and wear them out and about near people that might buy them.<\/p>
